Very beautiful and serene spot for kayaking. We enjoyed the sunset trip to the sandbar on a double seated sit-on-top kayak which spanned for 2 hours. The instructions were very simple and straightforward. We were accompanied by the instructor who guided us through the lake. The spot is perfect for beginners as the water is not too deep. The landscape is very aesthetic with the dark green color of the lake. Near the island where the water is shallow, a lot of snails were seen. In short, a must try and a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic spot for kayaking in the Paravur Backwaters, just about 15 kms / 20 mins from Varkala towards Paravur side. The backwaters are absolutely still, and the water is shallow in the specified areas of the lake. Options of single, dual kayaks and three seater canoes are available. Ideal place for a team outing as they have many kayaks.
You get top notch safety and operation instructions from Mr Alen Netto who operates this place. We had a wonderful experience kayaking with Syzygy, and will surely come again.

My best kayak experience and which got me hooked to it. Syzygy is highly recommended, extremely professional and they make sure you have a good time. I took the short and long route, kayak around the mangrove forest was surely the best. Danny explained everything well before starting the route, safety guideline clearly given. I’m coming back sure with my gang.

Excellent experience, caring and attentive instructors. The ride through the mangroves is one of a kind. If you like to paddle yourself and are not afraid or bring wet, opt for kayak. If you prefer to stay rather dry and just enjoy the ride, opt for canoe. Prices are very reasonable. Can’t recommend enough!

It was one of the best experience for me, it was tough, like really tough and tiring even for people in peak fitness level, takes up a lot of energy to finish off the round trip. And make sure you take enough water and some chocolate bars to boost yourself. Thanks to syzygy and its coaches for this experience.
